Hello there, thank you all for visiting my blog! I would like to introduce myself a little bit so you can get to know me better. As I have indicated above, I am currently a student at the University of Oregon and it is my junior year. I am studying education as my major and hopefully would like to continue my studies onto graduate school. I would love to explore all parts of education where my best interest is at educational policy and management.
This blog was designed to be an assignment for one of the classes I'm taking right now. The course, educational studies 220, is about technology in education. I love working with technology and I love the fact that we get to learn tools that teachers use on a daily basis to structure their curriculum and lesson plans for the day. I do believe that it's extremely important to incorporate technology as we teach nowadays because of all the high tech gizmo's that are being released. Since it is hard to keep up to date with all this new technology, we, as in future teachers, need to be the ones being on track of things.
Putting all educational informative aside, some of my hobbies are playing sports, watching movies, listening to music, sitting at cafes sipping coffee while reading a book, and going to church on a regular basis. I like to keep organized and usually can't study if the area I'm working in is a mess. I used to be a perfectionist but I think I'm not so much anymore, or not as bad as I used to be. The special interest I have is fashion. I love everything about it and everything there is to it. I started college as a business major and was hoping to study fashion marketing in New York. I also have been learning french and thought it was a great pair, fashion + french. It was only last year spring term where I decided to change my major to education and I have never looked back at my decision. I haven't regretted my choice and I love taking education classes. Even though I still love fashion, I decided to save that part as a part of me rather than to work in that field.
Fashion had once been everything to me, but with fashion you can't change people around. Yes, you can change their style but you can't change the inner core of that person. I wanted to influence people and have seen many teachers influence their students, including me. That was when I knew that education was the right major for me and I love every part of it.
